Old fashioned customer service: We develop relationships with our clients, at all levels of the organization. Phone calls and emails are answered by our laboratory staff.

Results with clinicopathologic correlation: High quality, thoughtful and detailed pathology reports that correlate the microscopic findings with the clinical presentation and history; clinicians can easily reach pathologists by phone or email to discuss cases.

Immunostaining performed on site:  Immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry performed under the direction of our veterinary pathologists by our smart, patient-focused and detail-obsessed laboratory technicians.

Cost-based pricing: We are a small laboratory committed to providing the highest quality of laboratory testing and customer services while keeping our test costs as low as possible. We calculate our prices based on real cost analyses. We don’t offer volume based discounts.

Reasonable standard turnaround time: Processing of samples in the laboratory takes the time it takes. Rushing processing without compromising quality increases the cost, particularly in a laboratory where sample volume doesn’t justify a 24 hour operation. Our standard turnaround times are:
-Cytopathology cases: 1 day
-Surgical pathology: 3-7 business days (depends on sample processing complexity)
-Dermatopathology: 3-7 business days
-Necropsy: Preliminary reports within 24 hours of gross examination, final report in 4-6 weeks.

STAT results for urgent and critical cases:  All cases are important, but some are more urgent than others. We offer STAT reporting for cytopathology, dermatopathology and surgical pathology cases, for a reasonable STAT fee. We do ask that our clients respect the principle of a STAT service, and remember that if everything is STAT, then nothing is STAT.

Freedom to choose: In signing our service agreement, you agree to pay us for the work you send, and to our payment terms. That’s it!  No binding contract requiring you to use us exclusively, no required case volume or percentage, no commitment to use us whether you are satisfied with our quality or not. We believe the freedom to choose laboratory services is essential to the practice of quality medicine, and want doctors to use our services because they trust the results and value the consultations, not because they are contractually bound to do so. Loyalty should be earned, and we welcome the opportunity to earn yours. Send us as much or as little as you want – your cases will always be treated with high importance.

Billing terms: In order to accomodate different cash flows and payment schedules, we offer our clients the choice of weekly invoicing at net 21, or biweekly invoicing at net 14. Clients can also elect to set up automatic payments through out secure system. Invoices are sent by e-mail, and payments can be made by check or credit card (we accept Visa and Mastercard).
