Laboratory Technician

Monet Sklaroff joined SVP at the tail-end of 2017 as one of our laboratory technicians and was truly our favorite Christmas present of the year. Both her perpetual smile and curiosity make her great to work with, as well as her fascination for the odd and unusual cases that make their way to us on any given day. She earned her degree in Microbiology from the University of Washington and is heading off to WSU for vet school this fall.

She has experience working with many a variety of animals, including small animals, horses, lab animals, and birds, and her extensive background in animal rescue brings many stories to the table (including when she spent a week in New York tending to 3000 roosters!) She herself has a rescued 16 year old Aussie mix at home named “Cookie”, who (though it may not be able to be pathologically diagnosed) has a chronic case of being “the best dog ever”.
