CHRISTOPHER REILLY
Ocular PathologistDr. Reilly earned his DVM from Tufts University in 2002, followed by a rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center (NYC), where his interest in ocular diseases first came into focus. He went on to the Comparative Ocular Pathology Laboratory of Wisconsin (COPLOW) to complete a fellowship in Ocular Pathology, from which point on ocular pathology took center stage in his career. Dr. Reilly then completed anatomic pathology training at UC Davis with board certification in 2007 and a short stint in corporate diagnostics. He then returned to UC Davis on faculty and completed a Master of Applied Science in Clinical and Translational research before a full-time faculty position. During his time in academia, he developed a real love of teaching ocular pathology, working with pathology and ophthalmology residents, veterinary students, and other pathologists. Beginning in 2016, Dr. Reilly went “all eyes, all the time”, starting an independent ocular pathology service and continuing to work with trainees in ocular pathology. Since 2020, he has been developing a partnership with SpecialtyVETPATH, which is now in full bloom, and has given rise to our education and outreach arm: The Specialty Vetpath Alliance! Outside of diagnostic and training endeavors, Dr. Reilly enjoys collecting and listening to vinyl records, bowling, and exploring the street of Seattle on his e-scooter.
